The Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, Idaho is 1,500 feet long and 486 feet above the Snake River. The four-lane bridge has pedestrian walkways with views of the river, sheer cliffs, the Blue Lakes, waterfalls, a park and two golf courses. Walking across the Perrine Bridge you will feel on top of the world, towering above the Snake River. The Perrine Bridge is one of the only bridges in the United States that is legal to BASE jump from.
Often referred to as the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls is a must-see attraction in Twin Falls, Idaho. At 212 feet tall and 900 foot wide, Shoshone Falls is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States surpassing the height of the famous Niagara Falls. Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River.
The Thousand Springs Scenic Byway winds through 67 miles of the most remarkable geology and natural beauty in Idaho. Here, you’ll find thousands (really!) of incredible waterfalls, soothing hot springs, charming small towns, and Idaho’s famous trout.
The vast Snake River Plain Aquifer flows 2,308 miles beneath volcanic rock from the St. Anthony to the Snake River, where it flows over the cliffs at Thousand Springs.
Snake River Canyon Rim Trail is a 12.3 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Twin Falls, Idaho that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, running, and road biking and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
This 451-acre park is located just off Interstate 84 at the Tuttle exit. People pass the park in an eye blink, never suspecting the spectacular canyon views that await them just a mile off the highway. Malad Gorge is open for hiking, picnicking and day outings.
Enjoy amazing views from inside the canyon, where the weather is a bit warmer — it’s not unusual for Canyon Springs to open for walking-only golf as early as February.

Over 48 feet tall and 40 tons, the wind-carved rock balances precariously on a pedestal only 3 feet by 17 inches. The trailhead for Balanced Rock is located just west of the Balanced Rock Park. The parking lot is only a few hundred feet away from the rock. It is a quick, but fairly steep climb to get to the top. There is little shade near Balanced Rock, but sunrise and sunset are stunning. It is also a great place for dark sky photographers.
The aptly named City of Rocks is a magical landscape of granite spires and monoliths, some rising as high as 600 feet. The oldest of these spellbinding formations are thought to date back more than 2.5 billion years, making them some of the oldest rocks in the United States. Hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers have many miles of trails to explore.
City of Rocks is world-renowned in the climbing community, with as many as 1,000 traditional and bolt-protected routes shooting up these imposing granite walls.
Robert Craig Knievel (Evel Knievel) worked at a motorcycle shop where he learned motocross stunts that would later contribute to his daredevil career.
On September 8, 1974, Knievel attempted to jump across the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, Idaho using a rocket-powered cycle called the Skycycle X-2. The jump failed due to a parachute malfunction, but Knievel survived with minor injuries.
The Shoshone Ice Caves are about 1700 feet long, 50 feet wide, and 45 feet in height, with an elevation of about 4500 feet. With our tour guides at the helm, you will descend across its historic path and then take stairs down to a depth of 100 feet under lava into a world of volcanic wonders and ice. It is well-lit with LED lighting so you can see all the amazing formations in the cave.
Named due to its immense size, Idaho’s Mammoth Cave is one of the largest volcanic caves in the world open to the public.
Also featured are two museums of Natural History: The Shoshone Bird Museum of Natural History and the Richard Arthur Olsen Museum of Natural History, named after its late founder. Exhibits include an amazing array of fossils, rocks, gemstones, animals, and cultural artifacts worldwide.
Dierkes Lake is viewable from Shoshone Falls and uses the same entrance. The City of Twin Falls purchased Dierkes Lake in 1969. This 191 acre park is the perfect place to host a family barbecue or to cool off in the lake during the hot summer days. A seasonal concession stand, seasonal life guards (June-August), a playground, and picnic tables are open for public use.

The Garden also demonstrates how plants can support and protect pollinators and other wildlife while adding beauty to the landscape.
The Herrett Center for Arts and Science is a non-profit museum on the main campus of the College of Southern Idaho. The Center collects, preserves, interprets, and exhibits anthropological artifacts and natural history specimens with an emphasis on the prehistoric American continents. Opened in November 1995, the Faulkner Planetarium is the largest planetarium theater in Idaho. Check the CSI website for current programs and times.
Pomerelle has the distinction of being one of the oldest ski areas in the United States, welcoming winter sports enthusiasts since 1940. With a maximum elevation of 8,762 feet this is a snow sure mountain comprising a lot of forest, and with fresh layers of powder throughout the season.
Pomerelle is a small resort but still has 24 perfectly groomed runs, mostly weighted towards beginner and intermediate skiers and is a little more wallet friendly that other bigger resorts.
Elevation 486 is situated in a one-of-a-kind location. Along the Snake River Canyon rim, 486 feet above the canyon floor, this restaurant features breathtaking views of the river below, easy access to the canyon rim walking path, and an unobstructed view of the Perrine Bridge and the horizon.

One of the best places to eat in Heyburn. Steve, a local potato farmer, didn't enjoy frozen French Fries, instead he appreciated fresh cut fries from his own harvest. This is my favorite breakfast Cafe when I am in the area. Most visitors consider employees attentive and say Wayside has a homey atmosphere. Order good home cooked food like chicken steaks, chicken and chef salads at this cafe. Have a good time and share tasty pancakes, French toasts and blueberry pie with your friends. They have great coffee!
Idaho Joe's of Twin Falls has a weekend breakfast buffet that it served until early afternoon that is a personal favorite. They also serve a wide range of American favorites in a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the menu includes fresh-baked pies, homemade soups, and tasty sandwiches.
This is one the favorite lunch places for locals. It has a fresh salad bar with a small buffet style pizza area for a reasonable price. You can also order specialty pizzas if that is what you like. The food is delicious, and the price is good for the amount of food you get. (They do have an all you can eat sushi special if you are up to it!) They are open for dine-in, takeout or delivery. Their menu includes sushi and other Japanese cuisine. Sushi Ya is located at 412 2nd Ave E, Twin Falls.
